The Ontario Hazardous Materials Responders Association (OHMRA) is proud to announce two exciting leadership appointments that will help guide our mission forward:
Phil Fujimoto – President
Phil Fujimoto, a dedicated fire service leader and long-time advocate for hazardous materials response, has stepped into the role of President of OHMRA. With years of experience as our Fire Director and a career deeply rooted in frontline emergency services, Phil brings invaluable insight, commitment, and vision to the position.
His passion for fostering collaboration among responders and advancing best practices has already shaped many of OHMRA’s programs and events. As President, Phil is eager to continue building bridges between disciplines and ensuring that our members have access to the very best training, tools, and connections.
Max Claassen – Chief Digital Officer (CDO)
We are also thrilled to welcome Max Claassen as OHMRA’s new Chief Digital Officer. Max brings a wealth of experience from his work as CDO at GuardianSafetyNet, where he develops innovative digital solutions for first responders.
At OHMRA, Max will focus on advancing our digital platforms, making it easier than ever for members to connect, learn, and access the resources they need. From this very website to behind-the-scenes infrastructure, his work will help ensure OHMRA continues to serve as a modern, effective hub for the Hazmat response community.
